Bruno Mars May Avoid Charges If Well Behaved

Bruno Mars can thank his lucky stars as, apparently, he may have landed a plea deal with Las Vegas prosecutors over his drug charges.

For those unaware, the singer landed in hot soup last September for drug possession. While at a bathroom at the Hard Rock Hotel, Bruno was caught to be in possession of a bag of white powder that was later tested positive for cocaine. He was arrested and faced felony charges.

However, according to TMZ.com, Bruno may be able to avoid conviction if he stays out of trouble until 2012! The move is called a �deferred adjudication� and sources say that the District Attorney in Clark County has agreed to the ruling.

Of course, there�s a catch. Under the deal, Bruno might have his criminal record cleaned but would have to carry out 200 hours of community service and undergo private counseling.

Let�s just hope nothing will affect the singer�s plan to come down to Malaysia on 10 April.
